Dean and Joanne Schneider, along with the help of our daughters Taylor and Karly, Have owned Benchland Orchard for 19 years. "We have been "Certified Organic" for 18 of those years. We are proud to be Certified Organic, knowing that we are providing the healthiest produce to our customers and being kind to the environment."
Along with the help of our best friends Rob and Kelly Dennis and their kids Darien and Kienan, we have been bringing our produce to the market in Calgary - Kingsland (McLeod and 78th in Calgary).
Our season begins in July with Cherries and Apricots. Early peaches begin in late July and continuing on with later varieties until early September. We grow 6 different kinds of plums from early Aug till mid September. Pears and Asian Pears begin in September along with the apples. Our apple varieties this year includes:
Gala, Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious, Pink Lady
Fuji, Mitsu & Braeburn
Benchland Orchard is 12 acres in size, located in Keremeos, in the "Sunny" Similkameen Valley.
